Skpr ("we," "us," "our") is a tool that helps students track class absences and homework drop allowances. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, username, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), or your Google account details if you sign in with Google.
- Course data: course names, codes, and the skip/homework-drop allowances you enter manually or that are extracted from syllabus files you upload.
- Usage data: attendance check-ins, skip counts, and drop counts you log within the app.
- Uploaded files: syllabus documents you upload are processed to extract attendance and grading policy text.
How we use your information
- To operate the core features of Skpr — tracking your courses, skips, homework drops, and daily check-ins.
- To send reminder notifications at the time you set, if you enable them.
- To maintain and improve the reliability of the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.
Where your data is stored
Your account and course data are stored in our database (Firebase/Firestore) and, for offline access, in your browser's local storage on your device.
Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties except: (a) service providers that help us run Skpr (such as our hosting and database providers), and (b) if required by law.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete individual courses at any time from the app.
- You can reset all course data from Settings.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.
Children's privacy
Skpr is not directed to children under 13, and users must confirm they are 13 or older to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
